I trained in Eastbourne at the University of Brighton and qualified in 1999, having gained a wealth of knowledge in all areas of Physiotherapy. For the first five years of my career I specialised in respiratory care but I then decided to follow my specialist interest for Women’s Health Physiotherapy which started as a junior physiotherapist.

I currently work in the NHS locally as well as in Private practice. I specialise in treating a wide variety of gynaecological issues including bladder and bowel continence problems, prolapse, pre and post surgery as well as pregnancy related continence problems. I have completed post graduate courses in bladder and ano-rectal examination, assessment and treatment.

I also treat pregnancy related musculoskeletal problems such as low back and pelvic problems, rectus abdominis diastasis and carpal tunnel syndrome. I take the Fit Back and Bumps antenatal and postnatal exercise classes, run within the Physio Therapy Centre.

I am a member of the special interest group Pelvic Obstetric Gynaecology Physiotherapists (POGP) and I attend their regional meetings and yearly conference. I keep up to date by attending relevant courses and reading recent articles. I see my role as helping a wide range of ladies to regain their confidence in day to day activities. It is great to see the positive effect treatment can have on someone’s life.
