Wendy has worked at the clinic for over twenty years. In fact, she was born with physiotherapy in her blood because her grandfather founded the practice in 1919, and her father joined after qualifying, while her mother ran reception.
Because the practice was in the family house, Wendy's experience of talking to and looking after the patients became second nature.
Care and customer service
After leaving school Wendy kept healthcare in mind and became a dental nurse, gaining invaluable experience of looking after and re-assuring patients in pain.
She moved to the famous Chailey Heritage as assistant domestic superintendent; a post where she learnt to manage staff and organise workloads. More intensive customer service came at British Caledonian Airways, learning to cope with some very difficult passengers.
Problems and solutions
With Wendy's children at school she looked to return to work. The practice needed a part-time receptionist which offered the perfect hours. Today Wendy is Practice Manager, working on a full time basis to ensure the smooth running of the busy clinic.
If there are any problems within the clinic, Wendy will endeavour to sort them out.
